State mapping
There is no universal media lifecycle shared by all targets. Brokerr plans only features whose provider semantics are explicit.

Important distinctions
Section titled “Important distinctions”Watchlist is not Watched. TMDB stores watchlist and rating but no watched history. Letterboxd can simultaneously report Watched and Watchlisted; profile rules determine whether completed films should remain in watchlist.
AniList Planning removal is source-rule removal. It can mean removal from the native Plex watchlist or deletion/no-longer-unwatched state from selected libraries, depending on Planning source.
Continue Watching is transition-based. A full snapshot alone does not prove that an item just left the collection. Brokerr needs a previous confirmed observation before applying Paused/Dropped.
Protection is feature-specific. Protect target state does not mean protect rating or watchlist, and intentional playback/rewatch transitions can override ordinary AniList lifecycle protection.
