Sources
Open Sources. Production discovery currently exposes only the Plex source. A future source is added through a plugin folder, not a frontend registry entry.
Instance workflow
Section titled “Instance workflow”- Choose a source plugin. Brokerr proposes a unique ID such as
plex-main-2. - Enter a display name and plugin-defined instance settings.
- Authenticate the account. Plex uses its PIN/account flow.
- Select a discovered server connection and save it.
- Select default libraries and run Check connection.
The server URL and duplicate strategy belong to the instance. Library choices are defaults for new profiles; each profile can override its own source scope.
The account card shows the connected username, avatar, and server. Secrets are never returned to the browser after storage.
Multiple Plex servers
Section titled “Multiple Plex servers”Each selected Plex server is currently one source instance. Brokerr can reuse the same Plex account authentication, but observations, libraries, webhooks, history, and profile routing remain server-specific.
Actions and scopes
Section titled “Actions and scopes”Source actions and dynamic scope options are plugin-defined and rendered generically. Plex exposes connection testing and server discovery. Its library scope includes movie and show sections supported by the selected target.
A source cannot be deleted while a profile references it.
