TMDB

TMDB is a database and account-list target, not an episode tracker. It does not support Brokerr progress, ratings, notes, rewatch, state protection, or the Plex Continue Watching pause rule.

Hosted mode delegates the API application credential to the gateway. Custom mode uses a TMDB API read access token, API key, and the Brokerr callback URL. TMDB’s account approval flow does not expose the same callback registration field as AniList/MAL/Trakt; Brokerr still needs Public Base URL to receive the browser return.

  • Items with no watched progress use the native TMDB watchlist when Sync unlisted is enabled.
  • Started active items can move to a configured Current custom list.
  • Started items outside Continue Watching can move to Paused / Dropped.
  • Completed items leave the native watchlist and can move to Completed.

If no custom list is assigned for a state, Brokerr removes obsolete memberships but cannot preserve that state in the target account. A completed item without a Completed list may no longer be associated with the account.

Use the target editor to select existing lists or create private custom lists.

Plex commonly provides tmdb:// GUIDs, producing direct movie/show mappings. These mappings do not use AniBridge. Search TMDB to create a manual override when Plex has no suitable identifier.

Connection write tests require explicit confirmation and can change the account even when profiles use dry-run.
